Female Genital Aesthetics

Labiaplasty, also known as labioplasty, is an aesthetic surgical procedure that aims to modify the shape or size of the inner or outer lips of the vulva, known as the labia minora (nymphs). It is usually performed for aesthetic reasons, physical comfort, or to correct asymmetries. The surgery can provide a more harmonious appearance and increase the confidence of those who undergo it.

Labiaplasty can be performed under local or general anesthesia and involves the removal of part of the tissue. As with any surgery, it is important that the patient discusses their expectations, risks, and post-operative care with a qualified healthcare professional before deciding to undergo the procedure.

The widespread use of testosterone hormone therapies, even in female patients, has led to a true epidemic of clitoral hypertrophy. The clitoris is very sensitive to testosterone use, which can lead to an exaggerated and unwanted enlargement of the organ, often resembling a small penis.

Clitoroplasty is a surgical procedure that involves altering the clitoris, which can be performed for various purposes, including the correction of congenital abnormalities, such as clitoral hypertrophy, or for aesthetic purposes. This procedure can be performed as part of gender reassignment surgeries, where the goal is to align the patient's anatomy with their identified gender.

Clitoroplasty may include reducing the size of the clitoris or changing its appearance. As with any surgery, it is important that the patient discusses their expectations, risks, and possible complications with an experienced healthcare professional before deciding to undergo the procedure. Additionally, it is important to consider the psychological and physical impact this surgery may have.

It is worth noting the complexity of this procedure and the risks associated with it. Professor Tiago Rosito performs clitoroplasties for numerous causes, both in childhood and in adults, having one of the largest Brazilian experiences in this procedure.

Does penis size really matter? What is the average length and diameter of a penis? Clinical studies are not entirely accurate due to a number of different reasons (e.g., standardization in measuring length, diameter, and penile rigidity). Based on a meta-analysis of more than thirty years of clinical studies, typical patient expectations include:

- The length of a non-erect penis varies considerably, but the average is 9.16 cm;
- The average length of an erect penis is 13.12 cm;
- The average diameter of an erect penis is 9.31 cm. There is little variation between sizes larger or smaller than the average.

Despite the above information, men and their partners often desire "a little more of everything." For penis length, there is little or no option to actually increase the natural anatomy of anyone. Only by removing fat from the area above the penis can some additional length be revealed. Such a procedure is only achieved with liposuction, liposculpture, or surgical removal of tissue. Surprisingly, this visual effect can be achieved simply with a diet. On the other hand, treatments for increasing penile diameter have been experimental at best. Previous treatments for increasing penile diameter have gained little traction for a variety of reasons related to their safety and efficacy.

There are a small number of centers reporting favorable results with the use of fat transfer surgery. Unfortunately, surgeons and patients must be concerned about granulomatous changes in the fat that may occur after the (natural and expected) revascularization of such fat deposits. It is important to note that several sites have reported up to 70% loss of transferred fat over a period of 1 year. Some centers have already reported problems with dermal fat grafts taken from the groin, gluteal folds, or acellular dermal matrices. Again, surgeons and patients must be concerned about the long recovery period after surgery and the possibilities of complications such as penile shortening, curvature, graft loss, and devastating infections.

There are also experimental treatments (e.g., silicone, paraffin wax) that are often performed by uncertified professionals. Treating your penile diameter is a personal choice that only you can make.

UroFill® is the new innovative method that offers penile girth enhancement using a non-surgical proprietary dermal filler. The result is functional, cosmetically attractive, and long-lasting. This patented technique is both safe and efficient. UroFill® uses a dermal filler similar to dermal fillers used on the face, neck, and other areas.

The filling technique is unique in its method of material placement and its adaptation to the penis.

A series of simple applications made in the office can provide almost any penile girth a man may desire. The applications are made under local anesthesia, and the patient can return to work immediately after the procedure without restrictions.

There is no safe and clinically proven surgical procedure for penile enlargement. The only possible way is by reducing the surrounding tissues, giving the sensation of a longer penis. These findings only have results with the penis in a flaccid state, with little impact on the erect penis. Among the procedures with good results, we have:

- Reduction of suprapubic fat
- Correction of winged penis/penoscrotal angle
- Correction of buried penis

Some men, as they age, begin to present a flaccid and disproportionate scrotal bag relative to the size of the genitalia. In selected cases, it is possible to perform a reconstruction of the scrotal bag, making it return to a near-normal appearance.

UroFill® - Most Common Questions

Before a patient begins treatment with the UroFill® penile girth enhancement technique, it is important to understand that researchers have repeatedly shown that penis size does not affect partner satisfaction during sexual relations, although this may be changing along with other societal norms. We are currently studying changes in patient satisfaction after the UroFill® procedure and expect greater satisfaction from both the patient and their partner.

The UroFill® procedure is performed in the office and takes about 10 minutes. If your doctor begins the procedure with an induced erection, the total time may be between 30 and 40 minutes.
What is the UroFill® penile girth enhancement technique?
The patented UroFill® technique is based on similar tissue enhancement techniques used on the lips, face, neck, and other sensitive areas of the body. The UroFill® technique is unique in its application and adaptation to the penis.

All patients who followed the recommended post-procedure protocol recovered completely. Before undergoing the UroFill® penile girth enhancement procedure, every patient must read and sign, along with their doctor, the consent form.

The UroFill® technique is a proven method of injecting hyaluronic acid into the penis for penile girth enhancement performed in the office.

With the help of your healthcare professional, you will be able to achieve almost any appearance you desire. The goal is to achieve a larger girth without any unnatural appearance. The bio-physical properties of UroFill® are very similar to the soft tissue of the penis.

Bruising and some irregularities in the soft tissues of the penis should be expected for approximately one week. To date, there have been no serious side effects or complications related to the injection of UroFill® using the patented UroFill® technique. Any irregularities are addressed during your follow-up visits for sculpting. Early sculpting (see below) without reinjection is possible when desired by the patient.

Patients may find some areas more prominent than others after the first or any round of applications. In this case, the patient has two options:

Sculpting

The patient can return to the office within a week after the procedure to receive a light massage of the filler to correct any irregularities.

Resculpting

The patient can wait two weeks for the application of a second round of UroFill® in areas that need more uniformity, leaving the patient satisfied with their continuous girth gain and the correction of any irregularities.

After hundreds of patients and thousands of applications, only a handful of patients have requested a reduction in penile girth, which is done with a simple application in the desired area. Such patients were ultimately satisfied with their results. All patients should understand that this is a safe and easy option for correcting any unwanted effects related to a UroFill® application. Unlike any material previously used for penile girth enhancement, if the patient so desires, all filler can be removed in the office. We have never had a case where a patient wanted the UroFill® removed.

Silicone implants and pills can be grouped among other unsuccessful attempts at penile girth enhancement. Our team of researchers has not been able to find clinical references (such as studies, presentations, or peer-reviewed papers) supporting the use of pills for penile girth enhancement.
A single-center study on silicone grafting for penile girth enhancement had only a small number of participants and was not considered statistically significant. Our experience with the removal of surgically implanted devices has shown poor anatomical outcomes and difficulties with the mesh used to anchor the device.
As for vacuum erection devices (VED), most of the literature related to vacuum pumps confirms minimal increases in both length and girth, and this modality does not prevent the use of UroFill® and the UroFill® penile girth enhancement technique.
Will I need anesthesia?
Small amounts of local anesthetic are used during the procedure for greater patient comfort. Most patients can drive immediately after the procedure.
What kind of care will be needed after the procedure?
The penis will be covered with a loose gauze for 24 hours to prevent bruising.
How long should I avoid sexual contact?
We strongly recommend a 72-hour interval before any sexual contact.
